With the vision in mind, “Education of the welfare of the Masses” Hon’ble Prin. M.R.Desai and Hon’ble Bar. Khardekar gave birth to an educational Institute, “The ShikshanPrasarak Mandal” in 1945. The Institutes milestone in the excellence of higher education was set up a Gopal Krishna Gokhale College in rural area. Within a decade college became well known multifaculty institute in western Maharashtra.

        Gopal Krishna Gokhale College has started skill based VOCATIONAL COURSES from the academic year 2020-21 under the guidelines and financial assistance of University Grant Commission (UGC) New Delhi.  These courses are having credit based semester pattern and are affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. These Bachelor of vocational courses are very use full for rural as well as urban students. The B.Voc. Program is focused on providing undergraduate studies which would also incorporate specific job roles and their National Occupational Standards (NOS) along with broad based general education. Being excellent status with well-equipped departments, the college is going to utilize fully its infrastructure and faculty to run effectively the Degree, Advance Diploma and Diploma courses that are beneficial to community.

 The Nursing and Hospital Management course run from academic year 2021-21.

It is a field comprising different healthcare professions at different levels, all working together to ensure the execution of healthcare facilities. Hospital management professionals are allotted the task of running the administrative operations of nursing homes, clinics, and hospitals.
