Aim
To impart quality education in Zoology by developing students’ fundamental knowledge, scientific aptitude, practical skills, research attitude, and awareness towards biodiversity, environment, wildlife conservation, and sustainable development.
Objectives
- To provide strong theoretical and practical knowledge in various branches of Zoology.
- To develop scientific thinking, observation, analytical and problem-solving skills among students.
- To promote hands-on learning through laboratory work, field visits, biodiversity surveys and project-based learning.
- To create awareness about biodiversity conservation, animal welfare, environmental protection and sustainable development.
- To encourage students to undertake research and innovative projects in life sciences.
- To develop employability, communication, digital and professional skills relevant to higher education and careers.
- To establish linkages with research institutions, industries, NGOs and other organizations for academic and career development.
- To inculcate ethical values, social responsibility and respect for all forms of life.
